A GREAT MOVIE 29th and & Gay

This is a great movie. Being gay myself I watch tons of gay theme movies. However I find most gay theme movies borderline bad however "29th and Gay" is a rare exception. I loved this movie. This & "Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss", our my favorite movies in the past 10 years.

"29th & Gay" is a lovable movie about real people that even if your not gay you can relate too. I find this movie so refreshing and so lovable that I want to shout from the highest mountain and at the top of my voice that "EVERYONE SHOULD SEE THIS GREAT MOVIE". DON'T IGNORE THIS MOVIE. IF YOU HAVE TO BUY IT SO WHAT ITS WORTH THE MONEY!!!!

BOB DOLE VIAGRA

Okay I found it funny that Bob Dole was pitching Viagra. I guess it wasn't just his arm that wasn't working.

DRAG QUEEN COMEDY GIRLS WILL BE GIRLS

This is a movie where are the female roles are played by men in drag. Yes that means the movie and the acting is over the top but so what.

This movie made me miss my old friends. Its the type of movie you need to watch with an audience. Now its not the best comedy ever made but for a great laughs its better then most comedies that are made today.

Seek it out at your video store or hell buy it. You wil watch it more then once.

GAY RECENT AMERICAN HISTORY AFTER STONEWALL

This is a great documentary. Its not just gay history but Recent American History. This does shine light on how Gay People were (and sadly still ) treated in the United States. If your gay and under 30 please see this. If your friend/brother/sister/mom/dad just came out to you Please watch.

Celluloid Closet Sequel Fabulous The Story of Queer Cinema Gay Movies

I am a huge fan of the 1996 Documentary "The Celluloid Closet". It was a great history lesson. The "CC" is a documentary on how gay men & women are portrayed in movies. Now in the years since the "CC" was made there have been more "Gay Movies". Where the "Celluloid Closet" left off "Fabulous The Story of Gay Cinema" picks up.

This is a very informative film. You will be in for a treat when you see this. You will laugh & think.

REVIEW GYPSY 83

Life Should be fun. That's the message I get from this movie. I most confess that I need to thank Margret Cho for mentioning this movie on her audio commentary (from her movie Bam Bam and Cheleste)

This movie is very good. Its a story of two odd balls who are great friends who end up going on a last minute trip to New York to a Stevie Nicks contest. I love the fact that this movie was daring in the fact it made no apologies for having character's that are not so mainstream.

I highly recommend this movie

MEET DAVE ANOTHER BOX OFFICE BOMB FROM EDDIE MURPHY

"Meet Dave" is a box office bomb. I am glad. Eddie Murphy last great movie was "The Nutty Professor" which was released in 1996.

I grew up being a fan of Eddie Murphy. However his concert called "Delirious" is a classic but is was very homophobic and help spread rumors on how AIDS was spread. Eddie made it cool for the public to fear AIDS and gay men. That's why in 1997 when Eddie was pulled over for "Picking up a Cross Dresser- Hooker" I found it funny. I also loved the fact that Eddie said "he didn't Know it was a hooker". Give me a break Eddie knows Hollywood. He also knows that that this part of town where he was busted is known for gay-cross dresser hookers.

Rumors abound that Eddie has a thing for big feet and painted nails. I hope that "Meet Dave" will be the last nail in his movie coffin. Her is a list of his Bombs

The movie is very funny. If you liked "Romy & Michelle" then you will like this as well. In fact there is an actress in this movie that was in "Romy". Well for those of you that are not familiar with Margert Cho you are in for a treat. For fans of Ms Cho you will love the fact that Margaret plays her mother in this movie. Now this movie is very funny. Its not great but you do not need to be gay or fans of Margaret Cho's to enjoy this movie.

The story of this movie is this Bam Bam & Celeste have been friends since high school. They take a road trip to New York to be on a game show. Now on this game shoe they run into their old high school classmates that were cruel to them.

Please if you want to watch something funny then rent this at once. Its well worth a night in!

I am glad "30 Days" did the episode on gay adoption. I am also glad they put the narrow minded Christian Women on the show. I thought it was great to show how stupid and narrow minded MOST CHRISTIANS are. They think they their shit doesn't stink.

20/20 STORY TRANSGENDER CHILDREN DVD

Life Should be fun. Its not. I think all of us when we grow up are picked on. You "Too Fat", "Too Tall", "Too Popular", "Brace Face" "4-Eyes" and more. If your gay its hell. I can only imagine how hard it is if your a transgender child.

On Friday June 27, 2008 ABC News Magazine 20/20 re-ran an hour episode on the topic of transgender children are their families.

To me this was an education beyond anything I ever learned at school. My heart went out to everyone profiled in the show. I thought I had a horrible childhood. My life was nothing compared to what these children are living with.

I think everyone in thos special deserve standing ovation for helping to raise awareness and most of all understanding.

I wanted to give these parents and children a hug and somehow help them but how?

So you have a DUI

I always say anybody can get one DUI. However driving drunk is a selfish act. If you hit somebody while your drunk chances are you will live but whoever you hit chances are they will die.

If you got a DUI please re-think your life. If you didn't hurt anybody your lucky. Chances are you drove drunk 100 times before you ever got caught!

If you got a DUI you need to figure out fast why your drinking so much! If your in a state that makes you attend AA meeting please attend and listen to what people say.

Your life maybe a mess because of your drinking! You got DUI. I was once told 50% of first time offenders get a 2nd DUI within 2-3 years. Well don't let that be you. Stop drinking. Even if you don't have a problem you just might.

Word up! If you can't have just one drink then you do have a problem.

How do I know that I am gay? How do you know your gay?

I had a co-worker ask me this. She is married. She has been married for 20 years. She is very happy. I feel for her. She said lately that all she wants to do is "have sex with women".

I said that "Sounds gay to me". She has had sex with women before however now that's all she wants. She went on further to say that she "Never wants her husband to ever touch her". To make a joke of this conversation I said "That's most married women".

To help her I said you should explore her feelings but LEAVE her husband. If the marriage is bad anyway (plus they have no children) there is no sense in staying in a marriage that no longer seems to be working.

Now for my own story I knew that I was gay at 12. It wasn't until I was almost 30 until I acted on it. Coming out was a very long journey. Sometimes I feel like I am still on this journey but I have been honest about to myself and my family for 11 years now. (Yes do the math I am 41).

If your not sure about being gay that is Normal if you not sure. However if you are gay its not the end of anything. Relationships you have change but in the long run your much better off and all of your relationships with friends and family are on a new level.

Laugh your ass off watch the Kathy Griffin My Life on the D-List

I personally think that Kathy Griffin is one of the funnest people ever. She will do anything to be a star. She is like a modern day "Lucy" but without a Ricky.

Her Ethel's are her personal assistants Jessica, Tom & Tiffany.

If you get the chance catch her stand up specials that air on Bravo. However watch her funny reality show that also airs on Bravo.

Now I just hope that her Stand Up Concerts that have aired on Bravo will get released on DVD. I want to see them unedited. To edit Kathy is a huge sin!

When I watched her show tonight it made want o be on the all gay "Pink Flight" to the Australia Gay Mardi Gras. It looked like it was so much fun. I am jealous I wasn't there.

Coming out Stories

I came out to my family in 1997. I was just reminded on hard it was when I watched "Coming Out Stories".

This is a TV show that shows Gay Men & Women that are going to Come Out to their family. If your straight you will never how hard that is to do. If you are gay then you will see yourself in these men and women trying to come out to their family and hoping they will not be rejected.

Now if your straight do me a favor. I want you to Please Imagine everyone in your family that you love. You know you do not want to hurt them. You don't want them to hate you. You still want to be part of their lives. Now Imagine being shunted by them because your "left handed". Well that's stupid I know but a person can not help being left handed. The same goes with being gay. "YOU ARE BORN GAY". Some people know when there very young. Some people do not know until much later. In any event coming out is the most stressful thing one person can ever do.

I beg all of you to rent the DVD "COMING OUT STORIES". It is very moving.

Now the movie is good. Its well acted but it leaves one feeling empty because there is a couple of plot lines that go unresolved.

However its still highly enjoyable.

I want to know where he stands on gay rights. I want him to sit down with GLADD, The Log Cabin Republicans, and the Human Rights Campaign. I want to know where he stands on Abortion (I HOPE IS IS PRO-CHOICE), A MIDDLE CLASS TAX CUT. Making Health Care available & affordable to everyone!

THE LOVE GURU LOOKS LIKE A BOMB TO ME

I am not in the box office prediction game. I do however smell a bomb coming. That movie is Mike Myers new movie called "The Love Guru". I saw a coming attraction of this movie months ago and I thought if that is the best they can show me then this movie is going to suck. For some reason I think I am correctly stating that Mike Myers is going to have to do another "Austin Powers" movie to restore any box office clout he may still have. I don't even think I will cath this on Netflicks. Who is he kidding by casting Jessica Alba? She not a good actress.

I Miss Rosie O'Donnell

I Miss Rosie O'Donnell. She had a huge impact on the dialog that was going on in this country. Now I may not be in with a 100% agreement with her but it near that.

Rosie was not just a role model for gay women but for all women. She was out spoken and demanded to be taken seriously. She was honest about issues she had in her life. Most important she wants to make the world a better place for all children.

I hope Rosie does get another talk show soon! It will be popular!

Patti Lupone & Glenn Close together at the Tony Awards

Last Sunday was Patti Lupone's night at the Tony Awards She won for "Gypsy". What I would of liked to of been back stage too see if she ran into Glenn Close. It was Glenn Close who replaced Patti Lupone in Sunset Blvd. Patti never made it Broadway with the play. However she did originate the role in London. Her singing is still 10x better then anybody else on Broadway. I just wonder if Patti ran into Glenn? I don't think it was Glenn fault that Patti got fired. However it still would of been interesting. I need to inform you hat while Glenn was doing the show she was treated like shit by the producers. Her name sold tickets. Betty Buckley also sold tickets but once no A-List female could be found to replace Betty the show quickly closed.

Seems to be karma to me. Andrew Lloyd Webber hasn't had a long running original production since "Sunset". Seems the bastard finally got some well deserved payback!

Whitney Houston When is her Next CD

As much as I don't like her as a person I do love her singing. I just hope she can still sing. Her voice was rumored to be in disrepair a few years ago. Rumors were also flying that a voice double/mirror was used in her concerts. In any event I hope she stays sober. She does have a daughter that needs her.

I hope we get a sequel to the "The Birdcage"

This movie screams sequel. If not a sequel maybe we will get a musical. Broadway years ago had a musical of the same material called "LA CAGE" So maybe they will make a movie out of that.

Just got back from the Silver Slipper. Wow! Lots of gay men there. I missed this one guy in valet. He is a looker. Maybe he will be there Friday Night? If not I know to cruise that beach!

Kathy must be the hardest working woman in showbiz. She is very funny and she will do anything to get a laugh. Her gay audience loves her and she deserves to be better known. She is as funny as Bette Middler and any other female you can think of that was on or was once on Saturday Night Live. Now Kathy's show is on Thursday's on Bravo. Check it out. Okay I love the movie. However did you find it hard to believe that Stanford and Anthony would be dating? Or maybe the weren't? On the TV show they didn't like to be in the same room together. SO this change was just too weird for me!

Very Gay & Very Funny Ugly Betty

I have to whoever is in charge of the TV show "Ugly Betty" deserves a huge thank you from the gay community. The show has more then one gay character and one teen character that is more then likely gay. This is on ABC where just 11 years ago they barely let "Ellen" out of the closet.

What I love about the show is that The Suarez family doesn't make a deal about the teenager Justin. I love how they are supportive and let Justin be Justin. I wish a show was on like this when I was 13. However what does matter is that its on now and the show is a beacon of hope for some gay teenage boy. The show isn't perfect however it is a highlight of my Thursday nights when a new episode airs.

What to do when a closet case or a curious man hits on you? I worked at a BIG BOX store. I had a male co-worker who was hitting on me. I was flattered yes but my fear kicked in. He would hit on me every time he could! Then when other co-workers were around he would say he was dating a girl which of course he wasn't. I was very tempted to "Sleep with Him" but for some reason my common sense kicked in and said "Hello he is a freak in the closet who still lives at home", also His "Gay panic" might get kicked in and I did not want to get hurt. Anyway have you had this situation?

GAY HISTORY THE CELLULOID CLOSET

Released in 1996 is a look of how gay men and women are portrayed in the movies. Times are now changing however as a gay man viewing the movie I not only laughed but I almost cried. If your gay you need to see this movie! If your straight see this movie because you will come away with an education. The movie is not sexually graphic, However if your gay and a movie lover you must buy the DVD. The extras are beyond great. Since its been over 10 years since the movie was made I hope a follow up gets made! Times are changing however that have not changed enough!

GAY INTEREST THE HISTORY BOYS

This is not a review only because I have not watched the whole movie but have you seen "The History Boys". I know this is based on a play but I am surprised this movie did not create any controversy upon its release. I have only seen parts of it however before I forget to blog about it I just wanted to see what everyone else thinks of the movie? TO me for what I have seen its very controversial but also honest. DVD REVIEW TO WONG FOO

This movie has been called a rip-off of "The Adv of Priscilla Queen of the Desert". The only thing wrong with that statement was the screenplay of "To Wong" was written before "Priscilla" was released.

Well the movie "Wong Foo" is lots of fun. Its about 3 New York Drag Queens who get stuck in a very small town.

The movie highlights are anything with John Leguizamo. He is doing an impression of Rosie Perez but so what John was great.

This movie is rated PG-13 and its worth watching

Any woman that acts this way has never had a real orgasm. Her ideas her so stupid there not funny. I hope she rots in hell.

DVD REVIEW adventures of Priscilla queen of the desert

Adventures of Priscilla queen of the desert.

This movie was a smash hit when it was released in America in 1994. It did well for a limited release of a Gay Theme movie. It did $10,000,000. It became a huge Main Stream hit when it was released on Home Video. Through out the years it has developed a huge following. Now 14 years after its film release the film holds up! Its still smart and funny.

It is worth noting that the box office smash "The birdcage" would not of been made if "Priscilla" had not made an impact.
